볼리비아는 남아메리카 중부에 있는 내륙국 입니다.

볼리비아 역사

볼리비아에는 약 2만년전 원주민이 이주해왔고
기원전 800년경 안데스 최고의 문명을 꽃피웠습니다.
12세기, 티티카카호를 중심으로 아이마라 왕국이 형성되었는데
15세기에 잉카 제국에 의해 몰락했습니다.

1532년 잉카제국의 황제였던 아타후알파가
스페인 정복자에 의해 처형되면서 잉카문명은 몰락했고
그 후로 스페인이 식민통치를 시작했습니다.

18세기 들어 볼리비아 지역은 부에노스 아이레스령으로 편입되었고
페루 및 볼리비아 전역에 걸쳐
스페인 지배에 항거하는 대규모 독립운동이 일어났습니다.

1825년 시몬 볼리바르와 수크레가 이끄는
볼리바르군에 의해 스페인으로부터 독립했고
독립과 동시에 볼리바르의 이름을 따서
국명을 볼리비아 공화국으로 확정했습니다.
